1. Introduction
Welcome to NutriKaki, a product of Simply Yours LLP ("we," "our," or "us"). Your trust is essential to us, and we are committed to being transparent about how we handle your information. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website (nutrikaki.com), web app (app.nutrikaki.com), iOS app (available on the Apple App Store), and Android app (available on Google Play).
2. Data We Collect
- Account Data: Name, email address, and authentication details.
- Health & Physical Data: Age, weight, height, gender and dietary preferences provided during onboarding.
- Usage & Nutritional Data: Meal logs, food images, text descriptions (verbatim), and interactions with our AI Coach.
- Technical Data: Browser and session telemetry, including cookies to improve user experience.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to provide personalised nutritional insights and track your dietary habits. Food images and verbatim are processed by AI to estimate macronutrient values and provide feedback. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Payment Processing
NutriKaki PRO subscriptions can be purchased through multiple platforms, each with their own payment processor:
- Web (Stripe): Subscriptions purchased on the NutriKaki website are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card details — these are handled entirely by Stripe. We only retain your subscription status and billing cycle.
- Apple App Store (iOS): In-app purchases and subscriptions on iOS are processed by Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Apple handles all billing, and Simply Yours LLP has no access to your Apple payment details. For refund requests, contact Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Google Play Store (Android): In-app purchases and subscriptions on Android are processed by Google. Payment is charged to your Google Play account. Google handles all billing, and Simply Yours LLP has no access to your Google payment details. For refund requests, visit play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
5. Mobile App & Health Data
The NutriKaki iOS and Android apps may request access to the following device features:
- Camera & Photo Library: The app may request camera or photo access to enable AI-powered meal photo logging. Photos are processed by our AI to estimate nutrition values and are stored in your account as meal logs, subject to the same retention policy as other usage data.
These permissions are optional. You can grant or revoke them at any time in your device Settings. Denying these permissions does not affect core app functionality.
6. Third-Party Integrations & HPB Data
NutriKaki utilises the official Health Promotion Board (HPB) Singapore Food & Nutrient Database to provide verified local nutritional information. We do not share your personal user data back to the HPB; the database is used purely as a reference for our calculations.
7. Data Security & Retention
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted storage and secure HTTPS connections. We retain your information for the following periods:
- Account & Profile Data: Retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, this data is permanently removed within 30 days.
- Meal Logs & Food Images: Retained for as long as your account is active to support historical tracking. Deleted with your account or upon request.
- Technical & Usage Data: Retained for up to 12 months for service improvement purposes, then automatically purged.
- Payment Records: Retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations. Full card details are never stored by us — these are managed by Stripe.
8. Data Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time. You can submit a deletion request by:
- Emailing us at [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and your registered email address; or
- Using the account deletion option within the NutriKaki app (Settings → Account → Delete Account).
We will process your request and confirm completion within 30 days. Please note that some anonymised, non-identifiable aggregate data may be retained for service improvement, and financial transaction records may be retained as required by applicable law.
Apple App Store users: Apple requires that apps provide a method to delete your account directly within the app. This is available at Settings → Account → Delete Account inside the NutriKaki iOS app.
